About Dorothy:

I grew up in a series of small towns, spending most of my childhood in a tree with a book. I’ve always been drawn to fantastic creatures who find their way in a foreign world as a neurodivergent woman who needs written words to be understood. Writing and voracious reading have always been my passion. I’ve also been a dancer in a dance company; a performance artist with a poet in the 90s; and currently play in a community guitar orchestra. I’ve been a teacher of the blind, a bookseller and a school librarian, but wrote and read throughout my life.
